Paul Sheils
D.D.S.
Dr. Paul Sheils is a general dentist and founder of Otsego Dental. Dr. Sheils earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He received further education in IV sedation techniques from the University of Southern California as well as advanced education in surgical, bone grafting and prosthetic programs from Temple University. He completed his occlusion residency program from the Texas Center for Occlusal Studies.
Dr. Sheils is married to Sarah and they have two boys Bjorn and Finn. Outside of dentistry Dr. Sheils enjoys fishing and traveling.
Nicole Giddings
D.D.S.
Dr. Giddings is our dentist who works with children and adults to achieve optimal oral health. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and enjoys interacting and working with children. Nicole treats patients for all aspects of dentistry including crown and bridgework, fillings, endodontics (root canals), extractions, dentures and partials.
Nicole grew up in the Buffalo area and now resides there with her husband and four children. She enjoys outdoor activities including golfing, and snowmobiling. Dr. Giddings continues to watch and cheer for her alma mater, the U of M Golden Gophers!
Jamie
Hygienist (RDH)
Jamie joined our team in 2015 and is another one of our fabulous Dental Hygienist. She graduated from St. Cloud Tech with a degree in Dental Hygiene, and is originally from the Elk River area. Jamie loves the opportunity to meet and help patients of all ages get the quality of dental care they deserve.
In her spare time Jamie enjoys time with her husband, family and menagerie of pets. She also loves to hike, canoe, and go on adventures.
Tammy
Dental Assistant (CLDA or LDA)
Tammy is our lead assistant, and has been a part of our team since 2011. She has over 25 years in the dental field and completed her education from Hennepin Technical College. She enjoys sharing the journey with our patients throughout their restorative process and how it’s not only changing their smile, but also impacting their daily lives.
Tammy enjoys summertime at her cabin, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Jessica
Dental Assistant (CLDA or LDA)
Jessica is a Licensed Dental Assistant and has been working with us since 2007. She completed her education at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, and is from the Elk River area. She believes a healthy mouth is key to one’s overall health and wellbeing.
Jessica enjoys hunting, fishing, reading and spending time with her husband and son.
Joni
Dental Assistant (CLDA or LDA)
Joni joined our Licensed Dental Assistant team in 2018 and completed her education at Herzing University. She establishes rapport and has a comforting personality which relaxes our patients. She enjoys seeing the joy her patients have when they achieved the smile they were looking for.
In her spare time, Joni enjoys cooking, camping, reading, road trips, and going on adventures with her son.
Katey
Office Manager
Katey is our office manager and has been a part of our team since 2015. She graduated from UW-Eau Claire and has been in the dental field ever since. She enjoys working alongside our staff to find creative ways our practice can enhance our patients overall experience.
Katey enjoys cooking, music, sports, and spending time with her husband and bulldog.
Carol
Insurance Specialist
Carol joined our team in 2016, and is our insurance coordinator. She has several years of experience working with patients and their insurance benefits. Her skills go beyond processing insurance claims, and directly to her positivity and kindness for others.
Carol enjoys making crafts, photography, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She is a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and the Minnesota Twins.
Sasha
Hygienist (RDH)
Sasha joined our team in 2020 but is no stranger to the dental field. She began her dental career in 1992 as a dental lab technician where she developed the love for dentistry. She became a licensed dental assistant shortly after and graduated from Hibbing College. Sasha continued her education at St. Cloud University where she obtained her degree in dental hygiene.
Outside of the office Sasha enjoys outdoor activities such as running, biking, and going up north with her family.
